The HI-3846 portable Chromium VI test kit makes monitoring easy, quick and safe.
Chromium salts are widely used in industrial processes, in galvanic plants, in tanneries and chemical manufacturing plants. Chromium can therefore be found in industrial discharges and must be monitored because of its toxic nature.
Chromium VI reacts with diphenyl-carbohydrazide to form a purple product in an acidic buffered condition. The amount of colour developed is proportional to the concentration of chromium present in the aqueous sample.
